Nominated for an Emmy® Award in 1999 for his memorable role as Dennis Finch, the wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant on "Just Shoot Me," Spade was previously best known for his five-year stint as a cast member of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." Spade was also nominated for Golden Globes® in 1999 and 2000 and an American Comedy Award in 1999, for his work on "Just Shoot Me" and his film and television career continues to grow. His film and TV work has been extensive and has created iconic comic characters from "The Larry Sanders Show" and "Rules of Engagement" to "Tommy Boy" and "Grown Ups".
Spade's film credits include "Racing Stripes" and "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star," both of which opened as number one at the box office on opening weekend. He also starred in "Joe Dirt," "The Emperor's New Groove," "Reality Bites," "Light Sleeper," "Coneheads" and "Lost & Found." Spade co-starred with "SNL" alumnus the late Chris Farley in the cult films "Tommy Boy" and "Blacksheep." The pair won a 1996 MTV Movie Award for "Best On-Screen Duo" for "Blacksheep." Recently, Spade was part of the film hits Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Kevin James. Spade began his career by performing stand-up comedy in clubs, theaters and colleges across the country. Since being named "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year" by Rolling Stone magazine, Spade has gone on to become a household name. He headlined his own HBO special, "David Spade: Take the Hit." Don't miss him tear up the Fonda theater for his Comedy Central Special.
