Joyelle Nicole Johnson is turning 40 and she decided to have a very toned down and quiet celebration (at least that’s what she told her Airbnb host), and tape her very first comedy special! Presented by Jimmy Fallon, Joyelle will be returning to The Bell House in Brooklyn for a power hour of comedy that guides you through the thesis of: loving JOY, loving SELF, and getting THERAPY! Makin’ these last 15 years of being single on the lonely road that is standup comedy count! So put on your favorite outfit, dopest pair of shoes, and get ready to laugh and maybe pee a little (that is if you’re anything like Joyelle who has the bladder of a Shih-Tzu puppy with a UTI).
Joyelle is an everywhere based stand up comedian, writer and actress who has performed on The Tonight Show |Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers, written for the final season of Broad City and appeared on the final season of HBO’s Crashing. She also combines her dream of comedy and activism by touring with Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead’s Abortion Access Front.
